Roy Keane has slammed Erling Haaland after the Manchester City forward took a sloppy penalty in their FA Cup tie with Bournemouth.
Haaland had the chance to put the Citizens ahead from the spot in the first half. But his effort was saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Bournemouth took the lead again in the first half, although he did equalise in the second half when he converted a Nico O’Reilly cross.
However, Keane was unhappy with the Norwegian’s attitude and the team’s attitude.
Keane felt Haaland looked lethargic from the spot and was also unhappy that he was smiling after missing another chance to score in the game before being substituted with an injury.
The former Manchester United captain took issue with Haaland’s casual approach to the penalty. And was particularly annoyed by the striker’s reaction later in the game. When he was seen smiling after missing another opportunity. Haaland was eventually forced off due to injury.
Speaking on ITV, Keane expressed his frustration, saying: ทางเข้า UFABET สำหรับสมาชิกใหม่ สมัครวันนี้ รับโบนัสฟรี “Haaland’s penalty miss was so lackadaisical. Then he misses another chance and just smiles. Man City strolling around the pitch is really getting on my nerves—it’s not a good sign.”
City will be hoping to have Haaland fit for their upcoming fixtures, with a clash against Leicester on Wednesday followed by a high-stakes Manchester derby next weekend. So far this season, Haaland has netted 30 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.
“Haaland took the penalty too carelessly and then he missed another chance and he smiled. City themselves were not serious, they were just walking around on the pitch. It’s very annoying. “It’s not a good sign,” Keane told ITV.
City are hopeful Haaland will be fit for Wednesday’s trip to Leicester before the Manchester derby with United next weekend.
